Cataracts

Cataracts is a common condition that occurs when the lens of the eye becomes cloudy, causing blurring of vision, sensitivity to light, difficulty with night vision, and can cause halos to form in your vision. This condition affects people across all age groups. Factors such as age, trauma, and other health concerns can cause the onset.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is caused by damage to the optic nerve. This nerve connects your eyes to the brain, allowing for sensory processing. The damage specific to glaucoma is typically due to internal pressure because of fluid build up inside the eye. Symptoms include loss of peripheral vision, throbbing pain in the eyes, headaches, redness in the eyes, and unusual pupil dilation. Age, ethnic background, and other medical conditions such as diabetes are factors in developing Glaucoma.

Retinal Detachment

The retina is soft-tissue inside your eyes that help with converting light into brain signals. Retinal detachment occurs under various conditions such as ocular holes, tears, and injuries and can be caused by diabetes, injury, age, and genetics. Symptoms include appearance of dark spots and wavy lines in your vision, blurred vision, shadows over peripheral vision, flashing lights, or loss of vision.

Each of these illnesses are treatable. For more information regarding these ocular conditions, or to book a consultation, please fill out the form below.
